Technical Information
Our Oceanus Ultimate ROV system features a unique eight-vectorized thruster configuration enabling a range of ROV motion that includes sustained submersible pitch and roll maneuverability. Pitching the nose of the ROV forward or back greatly enhances the ROV’s ability to effectively use onboard camera systems, manipulator arms, sonar systems, and other attachments, and roll maneuverability allows for effective navigating of restrictive areas. Auto Stabilize functionality locks the ROV's current position when optimum ROV positioning is critical during dive missions.
Our fully integrated joystick works seamlessly with our proprietary Flight Control System software. Adaptive ROV controls automatically adjust to the corresponding ROV camera view. Toggle between the front or rear camera views using your hand-held controller command buttons, or by navigating through the topside FCS camera module, MarineNav’s FCS software automatically adapts your hand-held joystick ROV directional controls to correspond to your selected camera view. There is no need to rethink joystick commands when flying in reverse.

The Oceanus Ultimate ROV is independently certified to a depth of 400m (1312 ft). An optional system upgrade increases the ROV maximum depth to 500 m (1640 ft).
Max speed: Up to 4 knots
Eight high-output thruster engines provide powerful ROV thrust in adverse conditions. Maximum speed test performed with the ROV fitted with an optional performance float block. (ROV ballast weights and accessories were not included when the ROV speed test was conducted).
Lifting capacity: Up to 8 kg
The Ultimate ROV is capable of up to 8 kg (17.6 Lb) of ROV lifting power to accommodate multiple ROV accessories or perform retrieval missions.
Dry weight: 30.25 kg
(Dry weight does not include the ROV ballast weights, the tether whip, the ROV tether and any ROV accessory).
Full vectorized maneuverability
An unparalleled control system and superior thruster performance deliver fully vectorized ROV maneuverability, control ROV depth, horizontal and lateral movement. ROV flight controls include auto-depth, heading hold and ROV stabilize modes.
Full Pitch & Roll control
Specially designed for use with the Oceanus Ultimate, MarineNav’s Oceanus joystick/hand-held controller (v4.0) controls all directional movements of the ROV, including sustained ROV pitch and roll. ROV flight commands are at your fingertips proving especially useful when navigating the ROV for precise directional sonar sensor readings or positioning manipulator arm attachments at any required angle.
Two 1080p HD cameras
Front and rear-facing 1080P HD camera systems. Toggle control from front to rear view cameras with simple touch commands via the topside Flight Control System software or by button commands through the Oceanus Ultimate joystick/hand-held controller (v4.0). Upgrade your system when you order to front and rear 4K Ultra HD cameras.
Four ROV aux ports

The Oceanus Ultimate features six front-facing 1500 Lumen lights and two rear-facing 1500 Lumen lights. Control the brightness of all lights via the topside Flight Control System software or with button commands through the Oceanus Ultimate hand-held controller (v4.0).

Portable IP-rated topside ROV control case
With an exterior measurement of 508mm/20.0" (L) x 355.6mm/14.0" (W) x 203.2mm/8.0" (H) and weighing 20.65 kg (45.5 Lb) the IP-rated topside case functions as the operational hub of the Oceanus Mini Lite ROV system.

Industrial computer and 2TB solid-state drive
The topside ROV control case features a primary i7 industrial computer and a large built-in 2TB SSD which stores hours of content.

Built-in secondary computer with Elk Lake CPU, 8 GB RAM, Windows 11 operating system and 256GB SSD.
Touch-sensitive user interface
Our proprietary Flight Control System software user interface is a touch-sensitive array of command modules that display all essential ROV functions on a secondary 10.1-inch TFT touch active matrix panel (1000 nits brightness, full daylight readable, 1280 x 800 resolution).
Adaptive ROV flight commands to camera view
Toggle control from front to rear view camera with a simple touch command via the topside Flight Control System software. FCS software automatically adapts ROV joystick flight commands to the selected camera view—no need to relearn joystick commands when flying in reverse.
On-screen display (OSD)
Real-time data includes recording time, voltage, water temperature, depth, and date/time stamp. Heading and attitude are overlaid or embedded with video. Custom user input lines are available. When paired with an accessory, GPS coordinates are displayed as an overlay option, with an enabled data entry field. The addition of a customized logo is available as an optional upgrade.
Oceanus Multiport
Our Oceanus Multiport communication system allows rapid integration of third-party accessories, software and external processors.
HDMI video output
Share streaming data captured by the ROV onboard camera to an external HD monitor by conveniently connecting via the topside HDMI video out port.
Wireless broadcasting feature
ROV pilot can share streaming video to multiple parties with access to web-enabled devices via a simple built-in interface.
MarineNav Fleet Management Suite (optional)
